the secret to our success - our team

Jacob Barnes

Jacob Barnes

General Manager

Jacob Barnes is the owner of Barnes Wildlife Control LLC and is an active part of the staff working as a Wildlife Control Operator. Jacob’s motivation for starting this company spun off of being a victim of nuisance animals wreaking havoc on his own property. Once he mastered how to control the various critters preying on his farm’s livestock and eating vegetables out of his garden, people soon began asking for his expertise and assistance solving their own nuisance animal problems, too. With a background in Business Management from Wright State University, Barnes Wildlife Control, LLC was created. Years later the company now has 13 employees working hard to solve Dayton Ohio’s animal control situations and is growing every year.

Melissa

Melissa

Office Manager

Melissa joined the Barnes Wildlife Control team in addition to a 10 year career in the healthcare field. Melissa is the “voice” of the company handling the majority of phone calls and clerical needs. She is really a jack of all trades and the technicians would not be able to function without her. Her ability to schedule appointments to meet customers needs and inform the wildlife control technicians on the situations they are about to encounter is second to none. She is an integral part of Barnes Wildlife Control's success serving the Miami Valley region

Jack

Jack

Field Manager

Jack brings an extensive background in sales to the Barnes Wildlife Control team with a Bachelor’s degree from Wright State University. Jack is better known as Jacob’s right-hand man. An avid outdoors-man, he has taken part in hunting, fishing, and trapping his entire life and also serves as a Wildlife Control Operator.

Kevin

Kevin

Wildlife Control Operator

Kevin’s twelve year background in general construction makes him ideal for structural exclusion repairs. He is able to navigate some of the highest rooftops easily to find those difficult places animals such as bats and squirrels use to gain entry into structures. He has partaken in recreational and professional trapping for numerous years and is a vital part of the team.

Pete

Pete

Wildlife Control Operator

Pete is one of the hardest working men we know. He has 25 years experience in construction and mechanical repairs. Although he is a little soft-spoken, the attention to detail in his deck exclusions speaks volumes about the quality of his work. Pete is a fast learning and has great aptitude for future growth with our company.

Tommy

Tommy

Wildlife Control Operator

Tommy joined Barnes Wildlife Control after leaving his field and turf management position with the Philadelphia Phillies baseball program near Tampa Bay, Florida. Tommy has been a great addition to our nuisance critter removal team and is focusing on growing our Insect Pest Control Division. Tommy enjoys golfing, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends.

Jadon

Jadon

Apprentice Wildlife Control Operator

Jadon joined the Barnes Wildlife Control team after apprenticing with his grandfather's general contracting business for several years. Jadon has been a great addition to our team. His specialties are mole trapping, raccoon removal, rodent exclusions, and nuisance animal trapping. Jadon loves snowboarding, spending time with family and friends, and music.

Amelia

Amelia

Customer Service Representative

Amelia has been a welcomed addition to office operations. Her knowledge of computer software and accounting helps meet the demands of our growing business. Her skill set will also be beneficial in exploring new marketing ventures and we wouldn’t be able to operate without her.

Cindy

Cindy

Customer Service Representative

Cindy is another welcomed addition to office operations at the Barnes Wildlife Control headquarters. She is
one of the cheery voices on the other end of the phone lines and can help customers with their nuisance
wildlife concerns, scheduling, and account questions. Most importantly, she continues to work behind the
scenes to help all of our staff to deliver great service.

Drew

Drew

Wildlife Control Operator

Drew is a graduate of Hocking University and has been working with wildlife for many years. He is a licensed Naturalist and was co-founder of We Care Wildlife Solutions before joining the Barnes Wildlife Control team. He has a great deal of expertise in dealing with nuisance animal situations and associated diseases from his natural resource background. Drew’s specialty is in the removal of raccoons, skunks, and beaver.

Chad

Brett

Brett

Wildlife Control Operator

Brett brings over 21 years of general carpentry experience to the group. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys spending his time crafting bows and arrows when he is not rooting for that blue & maize team from up north. Brett is also an Army veteran which we are grateful for his service.
